LNC Hosts Wetland Conservation Awareness Program at Diyasaru Uyana

On Saturday, August 22, 2026, Lanka Nature Conservationists (LNC) organized an educational session and field tour at the Diyasaru Uyana Wetland Park in Thalawathugoda.

The event featured an insightful session by Mr. Ishanda Senevirathne (former President of the Young Zoologists’ Association), who highlighted the critical importance of wetland ecosystems, their biodiversity, and the diverse species that rely on these habitats. Following the presentation, participants were guided on an immersive tour through the park to observe the thriving wetland ecosystem firsthand.

Over 40 LNC members, along with their families and children, actively participated in the program-fostering environmental awareness and a shared passion for conservation across generations.
